Gulf War veteran

Kuwait conflict soldier

A Gulf War veteran is someone who served in the military during the 1990–1991 conflict following Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, or sometimes the 2003 Iraq War.

The term often appears in discussions of veterans' health issues, particularly Gulf War syndrome—a cluster of unexplained symptoms reported by many who served: Gulf War veterans fought for recognition of their illnesses.
