Boxy military vehicle
Humvee is a trademark for a military vehicle designed for rugged terrain—a high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle, from which the name derives.
The boxy, wide-bodied trucks became familiar during the Gulf War and appear frequently in war films and video games.
A civilian version, the Hummer, was produced for consumers.
The convoy included a dozen Humvees.
