The Frog Prince
Kissed amphibian transforms
A fairy tale in which a princess reluctantly befriends a frog who transforms into a prince—typically through a kiss, though in earlier versions she throws him against a wall.
The story has become shorthand for the idea that an unpromising suitor may reveal hidden worth: She's still waiting for her frog prince.
The tale also suggests transformation through love or acceptance.
