Biscayne
Florida coastal bay
Biscayne is a place name in South Florida, most commonly referring to Biscayne Bay, the shallow lagoon separating Miami from Miami Beach.
The name extends to Biscayne Boulevard, a major thoroughfare, and Biscayne National Park, which protects coral reefs and islands south of the bay.
The word derives from an earlier Spanish name for the region.
