Bagram

Military installation, Afghanistan

Bagram is a town in eastern Afghanistan, known primarily for Bagram Airfield, a major military base used by Soviet forces in the 1980s and later by U.S. and NATO troops from 2001 until American withdrawal in 2021.

The name often serves as shorthand for the airbase itself: He did two tours at Bagram.
