B-24

Heavy American bomber

The B-24 Liberator was a heavy bomber used extensively by American and Allied forces during World War II.

Built by Consolidated Aircraft, it was produced in greater numbers than any other American military aircraft.

The four-engine bomber flew combat missions in every theater of the war: My grandfather flew B-24s over Germany.
