A bomb bay is the compartment in a military aircraft where bombs are stored before being dropped.
The bay typically has doors on the underside that open during a bombing run: The bomb bay doors opened as they approached the target.
Modern stealth aircraft keep weapons in internal bomb bays to reduce radar visibility.
