Aperol

Bitter Italian orange

Aperol is an Italian aperitif with a distinctive bright orange color and bittersweet flavor, made from gentian, rhubarb, and other botanicals.

It has a lower alcohol content than its cousin Campari, making it popular for daytime drinking.

Aperol is best known as the main ingredient in the Aperol Spritz, a cocktail made with prosecco and soda water that became ubiquitous at outdoor cafes and brunches in the 2010s.

We ordered Aperol spritzes on the terrace.
