Anglo-Americans
English-heritage US citizens
Anglo-Americans are Americans of English descent or, more broadly, Americans whose primary cultural and linguistic heritage derives from England.
The term distinguishes this group from other ethnic categories like African Americans, Hispanic Americans, or Asian Americans.
In some contexts, Anglo-American serves as an adjective describing shared British-American culture, institutions, or relations: Anglo-American diplomatic ties, the Anglo-American legal tradition.
