political family

Power runs hereditary

A political family is a family in which multiple members hold political office or wield political influence across generations.

The Kennedys, Bushes, and Clintons are American examples; the Gandhis in India and the Le Pens in France are others.

The term often carries connotations of dynasty, inherited power, or political aristocracy: He married into a political family with three generations in Congress.
