zoos
Caged wildlife exhibits
Zoos are facilities where wild animals are kept for public display, education, and conservation.
The singular zoo is short for zoological garden.
Modern zoos emphasize species preservation and research alongside entertainment: The pandas at the zoo just had twins.
Figuratively, any chaotic or crowded place: The office was a zoo today.
