wrongness

State of error

Wrongness is the quality of being wrong—incorrect, mistaken, or morally objectionable.

The word applies across domains: the wrongness of an answer, the wrongness of a decision, the moral wrongness of cruelty.

Sometimes wrongness describes something that simply feels off: There was a wrongness about the empty house that made her uneasy.
