wrist wrap

Carpal stabilizing band

A wrist wrap is a strip of fabric or elastic wound around the wrist for support during physical activity.

Weightlifters use wrist wraps to stabilize the joint during heavy lifts: I always put on my wrist wraps before bench pressing.

They differ from wrist straps, which attach to a barbell to reinforce grip.
