wolfpacks

Coordinated predator teams

Wolfpacks are groups of wolves hunting together, or by extension, any coordinated group operating as a unit.

The term gained military currency for German U-boat squadrons in World War II that attacked Allied convoys in formation.

More loosely, wolfpack describes any aggressive group acting in concert: a wolfpack of reporters descended on the courthouse.
