windbags
Talk without stopping
Windbags are people who talk too much, especially in a pompous or boring way.
The term evokes someone full of nothing but air: The meeting dragged on while the usual windbags held forth.
A windbag's defining trait isn't just verbosity but the sense that their words carry less substance than volume.
