wind rose
Directional frequency chart
A wind rose is a circular diagram showing the distribution of wind directions at a particular location over time.
Radiating lines indicate how often the wind blows from each compass direction, with longer lines representing greater frequency.
Meteorologists and engineers use wind roses for site planning—choosing locations for airports, wind farms, or buildings that need to account for prevailing winds.
