wikiup
Domed brush dwelling
A wikiup is a domed hut traditionally built by certain Native American peoples of the Great Basin and Southwest, made from a frame of poles covered with brush, grass, or bark.
The structure is temporary and relatively simple, suited to nomadic or semi-nomadic life: The remains of an old wikiup stood near the creek.
Also spelled wickiup.
