weebs
Japan culture fanatics
Weebs is the plural of weeb, slang for someone obsessively interested in Japanese culture, especially anime and manga.
The term is often self-deprecating among fans: We're just a bunch of weebs arguing about subtitles.
It can also be dismissive when used by outsiders.
Shortened from weeaboo, itself derived from an internet comic that had nothing to do with Japan until users adopted it as a replacement for the older slur Wapanese.
