seinen
Adult male audience
Seinen is a category of Japanese manga and anime aimed at young adult men, typically ages 18-40.
The genre tends toward more mature themes, complex narratives, and graphic content than shonen (aimed at teenage boys): Berserk and Ghost in the Shell are classic seinen titles.
The word is Japanese for "youth" or "young man."
