Weeaboos are non-Japanese people, typically Westerners, obsessively devoted to Japanese pop culture—anime, manga, video games—often to the point of fetishizing Japan itself.
The term is dismissive, implying someone who idealizes Japanese culture based on shallow media consumption rather than genuine understanding: He's such a weeaboo—he thinks living in Tokyo would be like an anime.
Sometimes shortened to weeb, which can be either self-deprecating or affectionate among fans.
