warrior princess
Battling noble daughter
A warrior princess is a female character—usually in fantasy, mythology, or adventure fiction—who combines royal status with combat prowess.
She fights alongside or instead of male warriors while retaining her noble standing.
The archetype gained particular currency through the 1990s television series *Xena: Warrior Princess*.
The term sometimes describes real women who combine femininity with fierce strength or leadership: She's a total warrior princess on the basketball court.
