warhammers

Medieval crushing weapons

Warhammers is the plural of warhammer, a medieval weapon with a heavy metal head mounted on a long handle, designed to crush armor.

The hammerhead often had a spike on the reverse side for piercing.

The knights carried warhammers into battle.

The term also refers to miniature figures and games in the Warhammer fantasy and science fiction franchises.
