longswords
Two-handed cutting arms
Longswords are medieval European swords with long, double-edged blades and extended grips designed for two-handed use.
They typically measure three to four feet in length and were favored by knights and men-at-arms from the 14th through 16th centuries.
Today the term appears mainly in historical contexts, fantasy fiction, and martial arts communities that study historical European swordsmanship: She practices longsword at a HEMA club.
