cross out
Cancel with lines
To cross out is to draw a line through written text to indicate deletion or cancellation: She crossed out the wrong answer and wrote the correct one.
The gesture marks something as rejected, completed, or no longer valid—crossing items off a list, striking names from a roster.
Also appears as cross off.
