tuskless
Lacking elephant teeth
Tuskless describes an animal, typically an elephant, that lacks tusks—either naturally or through removal.
Some elephants are born tuskless due to genetic variation; hunting pressure has increased this trait in certain populations: Poaching has led to more tuskless elephants in heavily hunted regions.
The term occasionally applies to walruses or wild boars.
