transition phase
Middle change period
A transition phase is a period of change between two states or stages.
The term appears across many fields: in labor, it's the intense final stage before pushing begins; in economics, it describes shifts between market conditions; in project management, it marks the handoff between development stages.
The core idea is always an intermediate period where one thing is becoming another: We're in a transition phase between the old system and the new one.
