trackballs
Cursor-controlling spheres
Trackballs are pointing devices that use a ball rotated by the fingers or palm to move a cursor on screen—essentially an inverted mouse, where the ball sits on top and the base stays stationary.
Popular in the 1980s and 1990s, they remain favored by some users for precision work or when desk space is limited: She prefers a trackball for graphic design.
