Wii Remote

Gesture-sensing game wand

The Wii Remote is Nintendo's motion-sensing controller for the Wii gaming console, released in 2006.

Shaped like a television remote, it detects movement and orientation in three-dimensional space, allowing players to control games through physical gestures—swinging to hit a tennis ball, tilting to steer.

Often called a Wiimote: I need new batteries for the Wii Remote.
