Kinect

Xbox body tracker

Kinect is a motion-sensing device developed by Microsoft for the Xbox gaming console, released in 2010.

It uses cameras and infrared sensors to track body movements and voice commands, allowing players to control games without a handheld controller: We played Kinect Sports at the party.

The technology found applications beyond gaming in robotics, healthcare, and art installations before Microsoft discontinued it.
