tidal channel
Flowing sea passage
A tidal channel is a waterway shaped by the movement of tides—a passage through which water flows in and out with the rising and falling of sea levels.
These channels cut through coastal marshes, mudflats, and estuaries, draining and filling twice daily.
The kayakers timed their trip to catch the incoming tide through the tidal channel.
