tent stake
Canvas shelter securer
A tent stake is a pointed spike, usually metal or plastic, driven into the ground to anchor a tent's guy lines or corners.
Also called a tent peg.
Stakes come in various designs for different soil conditions—from simple wire pins for firm ground to broad snow stakes for soft surfaces.
I forgot the tent stakes and had to weigh down the corners with rocks.
