teleportations
Vanish-and-appear movements
Teleportations is the plural of teleportation—instances of instantaneous transport from one location to another without physically crossing the intervening space.
The concept belongs to science fiction and fantasy, where characters or objects vanish and reappear elsewhere: The wizard's teleportations left no trace.
In physics, quantum teleportation refers to transferring quantum states between particles, though no matter actually moves.
