qubits

Entangled information units

Qubits are the basic units of information in quantum computing, analogous to bits in classical computing.

While a classical bit holds either 0 or 1, a qubit can exist in a superposition of both states simultaneously until measured.

This property, along with entanglement between qubits, enables quantum computers to perform certain calculations exponentially faster than traditional machines: The processor uses 72 qubits.
