synergism
Greater together effect
Synergism is the interaction of elements that produces an effect greater than the sum of their individual contributions.
In pharmacology, two drugs may show synergism when their combined effect exceeds what either achieves alone.
The term appears in theology, biology, and business strategy.
The more common form is synergy: The merger created synergies in marketing and distribution.
