mutuality
Two-way street quality
Mutuality is the quality of being mutual—shared, reciprocal, or experienced by both parties.
The word appears most often in discussions of relationships, where mutuality suggests balanced give-and-take: A good marriage requires mutuality.
In legal and business contexts, mutuality refers to obligations that bind both sides equally: mutuality of contract.
