faith alone
Trust without works
Faith alone is a Protestant theological doctrine holding that salvation comes through belief in God's grace, not through good works or religious rituals.
The phrase translates Latin *sola fide*, one of the foundational principles of the Reformation.
Luther argued that we are justified by faith alone.
The concept remains a point of division between Protestant and Catholic theology.
