syllabi

Class reading lists

Syllabi is the plural of syllabus, an outline of topics to be covered in an educational course.

Though syllabuses is also correct, syllabi appears more frequently in academic contexts, perhaps because it sounds more scholarly.

The professor distributed syllabi on the first day of class.

A syllabus typically includes required readings, assignment due dates, grading criteria, and course policies.
