switchbox
Electrical control panel
A switchbox is an enclosure containing electrical switches that control power distribution or circuit routing.
In home wiring, it's the metal or plastic box behind a light switch or outlet.
In audio/video setups, a switchbox lets you route signals between multiple devices: The switchbox lets me toggle between the DVD player and the game console.
