supermen
Idealized transcendent humans
Supermen is the plural of superman—men of extraordinary ability, strength, or achievement.
The term often alludes to Nietzsche's philosophical concept of the Übermensch, a superior being who transcends ordinary morality: They fancied themselves supermen, above the rules that governed lesser men.
It also evokes the comic book hero, so supermen may describe anyone with seemingly superhuman powers or abilities.
