super-
More than ordinary
Super- is a prefix meaning above, over, or beyond.
It indicates something larger, more powerful, or of higher quality than usual: supermarket, superhuman, supernatural.
In informal use, super- intensifies or elevates: super-rich, superstar.
The prefix can also mean exceeding a standard: supersonic (faster than sound), superfluous (more than needed).
