supersaturate
Dissolve beyond limit
To supersaturate is to saturate beyond normal capacity—adding more of a substance than would typically dissolve or be absorbed under ordinary conditions.
A supersaturated solution contains more dissolved material than it could hold at equilibrium; any disturbance may cause the excess to crystallize out.
The term extends to any state of excess: The market is supersaturated with streaming services.
