strokeplay
Count every shot
Strokeplay is a golf scoring format where the total number of strokes taken over the entire round or tournament determines the winner.
This contrasts with match play, where holes are won individually: She prefers strokeplay because one bad hole doesn't end your chances.
Also written as two words: stroke play.
