stillhouse

Where whiskey's made

A stillhouse is a building where distillation takes place, particularly for making whiskey or other spirits.

The term is most common in American whiskey-making regions, especially Kentucky and Tennessee: The old stillhouse had been converted into a tasting room.

Also spelled as two words: still house.
