stenogram
Compressed written record
A stenogram is a record made in shorthand or produced by a stenotype machine—the compressed notation used by court reporters and transcriptionists.
The term appears in legal and administrative contexts: The stenogram of the proceedings was entered into evidence.
Less common than transcript, which refers to the converted, readable version.
