steel helmet
Soldier's metal protection
A steel helmet is a protective head covering made of steel, designed to shield against shrapnel, bullets, and blunt impacts.
Military steel helmets became standard infantry equipment during World War I and remained in use through the late 20th century, when lighter materials like Kevlar largely replaced them: Rows of steel helmets lined the trench.
