MiG-21
Cold War interceptor
The MiG-21 is a Soviet-designed supersonic jet fighter that became one of the most widely produced and deployed combat aircraft in history.
Introduced in the late 1950s, it served as the backbone of Soviet and Warsaw Pact air forces and was exported extensively to allies across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
Its delta-wing design made it fast and maneuverable but limited in range.
The MiG-21 saw extensive combat in Vietnam, the Arab-Israeli wars, and numerous other conflicts.
Many nations still operate upgraded variants today.
