MiG fighters
Russian military aircraft
MiG fighters are Soviet-designed military aircraft produced by the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau, named for its founders.
The designation became synonymous with Soviet and Russian combat aircraft during the Cold War, when MiGs faced American jets in Korea and Vietnam.
The pilot reported a MiG on his tail.
The term often appears generically for any Russian-made fighter jet.
