chin strap
Keeps headgear on
A chin strap is a band that passes under the chin to secure something to the head—a helmet, hat, or protective gear: Make sure your chin strap is fastened before riding.
In grooming, a chin strap is a style of beard that traces the jawline from ear to ear without covering the cheeks, resembling the strap it's named for.
