squealer

One who tells

A squealer is someone who informs on others, especially to authorities—a tattletale or snitch: The gang suspected there was a squealer among them.

The term comes from squeal in its slang sense of confessing or betraying secrets.

More literally, a squealer is anything that squeals, particularly a young pig.
