speedrunning

Speedrunning is completing a video game as fast as possible, often exploiting glitches or unconventional strategies to shave off seconds.
Speedrunners compete for world records, with times verified by online communities: She's been speedrunning the original Mario for years.
The practice has extended metaphorically to rushing through any process: He's speedrunning his way through med school.
